The Creation of Finer Yoga

Welcome to Finer Yoga, an inclusive yoga lifestyle blog. I started this blog to bring yoga and mindful living to you, wherever you may be. Yoga has changed my life in such a positive way, especially this past year. About a year ago I realized that the 8 to 5 desk job life was not for me. I earned my bachelors degree in business with a focus in human resource management and landed my first big girl job in the field. I worked in HR for four years learning and growing both personally and professionally, but I always had the feeling that I was destined for more.

Feeling lost and unsure, I took a solo soul searching trip to Florida. I came home feeling liberated and on the brink of something big. Shortly after, I quit my job on a bit of a whim and about a week later YogaByCandace® announced her first US based yoga teacher training and I instantly knew this is where my path was leading me.

The nearly three weeks at the intensive yoga teacher training was the most transformational time in my life. It was at this training, in the beautiful Mountain City, TN, where it really clicked that yoga is so much more than physical activity and cool poses. Those of you who knew me growing up know I wasn’t the nicest or most positive person. I felt like the world was out to get me and that I needed to constantly rebel and fight back.

Through the reading assignments prior to training, the self reflection during and the new journey following, my outlook on life has changed drastically. I have found that I don’t get upset as easily and that I try to look for the good in life. I still have my struggles but I am much more open and honest with myself {and others} and am continuously working to improve.

This blog is here to give you an inside look on my journey, the celebrations and the set backs, and hopefully inspire you to keep working at yours!

On this blog, you can expect:

Wishing you all peace and love.
